Parakrama Niriella -    Chief Executive & Artistic Director

Parakrama Studied Drama & Theatre at the Art Centre Theatre Academy of the Lionel Wendt Memorial Centre in Colombo since 1974. His career in theatre arts began as a Pioneer member of the first Street Drama group in Sri Lanka under the leadership of his 'Guru', Gamini Haththotuwegama. Later he expanded his creative activities into the fields of Cinema and Television. Some of his Television and Cinema creations brought him accolade locally and internationally. Most of his creations were based on themes of the enhancement of humanity and he has also discussed co-existence between man and nature. With knowledge and experience gained through drama and theatre workshops conducted by foreign experts and at international forums, he has been using theatre for the betterment of the people at grass root level. Since 2003, his main responsibility and devotion has been carrying "Janakaraliya" (Theatre of the people) Mobile Theatre and its Travelling drama group through out the country and providing theatrical experience to the common people and future generation (school children). During these theatre arts excursions he and his colleagues train multi-ethnic groups of performing artistes and produce dramas in both Sinhala and Tamil languages.

Amiththa Weerasinghe - Administration & Development Director

An award winning actor participated in dramas, television and feature films from his school days. Educated in personnel management and business administration, Amitta has held consultancy posts on advertising and propaganda in several reputed institutions in Sri Lanka. At present he holds the post of Media Consultant of the Blood Bank in addition to the post of Administration and Development Director of Janakaraliya  

Dilip Rohana -  Finance Director

Dilip is competently experienced in Educational Administration.  Academically he is a M.A. holder in Mass Communication.  A stage drama and a television actor, Dilip is also an experienced stage and Tele drama assistant director. 

remathilaka Perukanda - Programme Director
Prematillake Perukanda is a prominent poet, writer and an arts critic. He has over 35 years of experience in organizing drama performances and production management. In addition to his tasks at Janakaraliya he serves as the chief editor of the periodical ‘Sandeshaya’ published by the Agriculture and Community Development Institution

Before joining Janakaraliya he gained experience in working with alternate drama groups in Sri Lanka. He has performed different roles in all the Janakaraliya dramas. In addition he was responsible for funds management in all aspects of Janakaraliya activities. Leadership qualities, positive attitudes towards the society and political knowledge and the exemplary discipline while working in Janakaraliya has paved the way for him to elevate his position as the Manager of Janakaraliya.
